I have worked in ministry for over 16 years. I am far from perfect, but ever since I first heard the Gospel message, “Jesus Christ loves you. He gave his life to save you, and now he is living at your side to enlighten, strengthen, and free you…” I’ve wanted nothing more than to serve the Lord, to give him glory, and help others to find that same life-giving, life-changing love that I have found in Christ. There is no wound he can’t heal, no situation he can’t redeem, and no mercy and forgiveness he can’t offer to anyone who comes to him with their whole heart, and I am proof of that.

I am happily married. My wife and I are celebrating 18 years of marriage and that is hard to believe… We have spent half of our lives together. The better half no doubt! We have had many adventures; journeys across the country, and the journeys of faith. We have six children (and one in heaven). Yes, they were all on purpose. Although I often joke, “I prayed for patience, God gave me children,” I wouldn’t change anything.  I enjoy every moment with them; really, my kids help me to be the big kid that I am at heart.

This is also why I love to play board games (designer/hobby board games). I love the community that these games help to create, cultivating friendships and nurturing relationships. Looking across the table into someone eyes, rather than staring at a screen. People sitting around the table, regardless of their differences and sharing what is often, a memorable experience together. This is a big part of life in my family… That and Legos, road trips, lots of music, and the never-ending supply of fixer upper projects around the house.

I’ve recently discovered how much I love to be outdoors and enjoy hiking. I find just about everything and EVERYONE fascinating. I love to bring people together in community, build relationships and do whatever I can to make others feel loved, appreciated and valued.

Any ways, I feel truly blessed to be a part of Draw Near. Thank you for listening! Thank you for checking out our webpage. Thank you for joining us on our own journey as we, too, seek to draw near to Christ as he draws near to us.
